Tessa Caccavallo
Tessa Caccavallo is a former professional dancer based in Carmel, IN. She moved to Indianapolis from Kentucky in 2006 to pursue her dream of dancing in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers. Before joining the Pacemates, Tessa danced, choreographed, and coached for an arena football team and a minor league baseball team while in college.
Tessa danced for the Pacers for three seasons before becoming an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader. She had the honor of dancing on the sidelines at Super Bowl XLIV and has performed with recording artists Gretchen Wilson, Cheap Trick, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Chubby Checker. She served as a squad captain in her second year and was chosen to represent the Colts and promote NFL Mexico in Mexico City. She also joined an Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Okinawa, Japan to entertain troops stationed overseas. That same year, her teammates voted her a Pro Bowl Cheerleader, and she represented the Colts Cheerleaders in Honolulu, Hawaii for the 61st annual Pro Bowl.
Tessa has been featured in Maxim, SI.com, NFL.com, and many other online and print publications. After retiring from professional sports in 2011, she began choreographing and coordinating performances and events for trade shows, conventions, companies, music acts, and sporting events, all while staying active with the teams she danced for in Indianapolis. Along the way, she saw how few opportunities existed for the talented dancers she worked with, in Indianapolis and across the country. So she founded Betties and Belles to give clients the very best talent available, using her experience and connections to offer entertainment in major cities throughout the United States.
Beyond serving as director of Betties and Belles, Tessa mentors young women who aspire to dance for NBA and NFL teams. She has choreographed routines for the Colts Cheerleaders and helped develop the first-ever Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders Training Program, and she serves as a Regional Manager for Going Pro Sports Entertainment. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and two children, traveling, hosting friends at home, watching movies, and dancing, of course.
