Betties and Belles had the pleasure of performing at the prestigious Snakepit Ball on the eve of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May this year. The Snakepit Ball is hosted yearly the night before the big race, and KeyBank sponsored the event this year. The black tie event is always a success and attracts celebrities and VIPs in town for race weekend. The theme for 2016 was “Spectacle: A Night Circus” and featured circus acts of all kinds to provide entertainment all evening long, including a parade through the venue. To incorporate a bit of the Indianapolis 500’s history, two of Betties and Belles’ dancers dressed as “Golden Shifter Girls” to pay homage to the 1960s and 70s race sponsor, Hurst. The girls danced along to the band, dressed in gold costumes and donned blonde wigs to liken Linda Vaughn, the original Golden Shifter Girl. See photos below from this super fun event!
