Wedding Dancers
Surprise wedding dancers, nationwide
Betties and Belles books surprise wedding dancers for receptions, marriage proposals, first dances, and bridal party routines in major cities across the United States. Personal flash mobs run $1,600 to $3,500, and if you bring your own dancers, choreography starts around $850. Our dancers come from NFL and NBA sidelines and premier dance companies.
The Moment Your Guests Never See Coming
Guests expect dancing at a reception. They do not expect the wait staff to drop their trays and start a routine, or the groomsmen to break into choreography mid-toast. A surprise wedding dance flips the whole room from watching to cheering in about four seconds.
Betties and Belles is a group of current and former professional dancers and promotional models. We build the choreography around your wedding, help you pick the music, and can bring sound equipment if your venue needs it. Every dancer on our roster has performed at a professional level, with NFL or NBA teams, premier dance companies, or both, and trained across many styles. That range is what professional dancers and choreographers spend years building.
I'm Tessa Caccavallo, and I danced for the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers before I started choreographing weddings full time. A first dance or a surprise reveal only happens once, so it has to land the first time.

Wedding Pricing
Most companies will not put a number on their site. Here is ours, so you can budget before you call.
| Wedding flash mob | 6 dancers | 20 dancers |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Proposals, receptions, first dances, bridal party routines | $1,600 | $3,500 |
Every wedding flash mob includes:
- Dancers on-site for up to one hour
- One performance
- The music mix, cut so the routine hits every beat
- The choreography, built for your wedding
- All dancers' fees
- Coordination of the surprise
- Instructional videos so the couple or the wedding party can learn a part
Bringing your own dancers? If you have your bridal party or friends ready to perform, we charge a choreography and music fee, typically around $850. Brides do this to surprise a groom all the time, and couples do it with their bridal party to surprise the whole reception. Because we are teaching people who have never danced, the routines are shorter and simpler, and we can usually work with a tight budget.
Billed separately when they apply: travel, parking, costuming, dancers on-site longer than one hour, and additional performances.
For the full breakdown, see our guide on how much a flash mob costs, or the step by step in how to plan a surprise wedding flash mob.

Ways to Surprise the Room
A wedding gives you more than one moment to work with. These are the ones couples book most often:

We also choreograph for the events around the big day, so the whole celebration feels connected:

Themes We Perform
Every theme below is a full production: choreography, costumes, and music built to match. Tell us the direction and we will build the performance around it.
1920s
The Roaring Twenties is a favorite for receptions and anniversary celebrations. Dancers perform in flapper dresses, vintage hats, and feathered headpieces, working through the Charleston, Lindy Hop, fox trot, and Breakaway. We can also take a few minutes to teach your guests some easy steps so they can use them on the dance floor afterward.
1950s and 1960s
A sock hop or a Go-go night gives a reception instant nostalgia. Dancers appear as 1950s sock hop girls or 1960s Go-go dancers, performing the Twist, Watusi, Mashed Potato, Jitterbug, and Swing. Book a choreographed routine, or freestyle dancing that runs alongside your DJ or band. Family-friendly attire and performances only.
Bollywood
Bollywood is fast, intricate, and a genuine crowd pleaser across age groups. We have performed Bollywood routines at weddings and as surprise marriage proposals, with dancers either in traditional attire or blended into the crowd as guests or wait staff until the reveal. Traditional costuming may carry an additional fee.
Hip Hop and Jazz
For a high-energy crowd, hip hop and jazz dancers set to current music get people onto the floor fast. Dancers can perform a choreographed routine to a track you choose, work freestyle alongside your DJ or band, or teach guests the latest dance on the spot. Specialty styles, including break dancing, are available on request.
Samba and Latin
We have performed Latin routines for wedding flash mobs, marriage proposals, and receptions. Samba dancers for a Carnivale theme, salsa for a reception, or a mix built around the energy you want in the room. If you would like dancers in specific Latin attire, costuming fees may apply.

Led by a professional you can trust. Founder Tessa Caccavallo danced for the Indiana Pacers and cheered for the Indianapolis Colts, performed at Super Bowl XLIV, and has choreographed surprise proposals, first dances, and reception performances since 2011. Every wedding booking is cast and choreographed under that standard.
How Booking Works
Reach out with your wedding date, city, venue, and the moment you want to create. We build a quote, then choreograph the routine around your song and your reception. We mix the music, send instructional videos to anyone joining in, and coordinate the reveal with your planner or venue so it stays secret until the first beat.
Book four to six weeks ahead where you can. Wedding season fills fastest, so popular dates are worth locking in early. Planners who work under standards from the International Live Events Association will tell you the same thing: the vendors worth having book out early.
